The idea for the project comes from the needs of Metrology Institute of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IMBiH) which welcomes assistance during the widening of services of this institution and to be able to get international recognition of selected laboratory samples. The Czech Republic was asked to assist because Czech Metrology Institute provides the same range of services which accords to the international standards from 2000. Czech Metrology Institute is member of international metrological group. Moreover, the Institute gained its experience relatively recently.
Transfer of experience will be unique in both, installing new standards and also bringing training methods. This represents an effort to gain international recognition for the receiving institution (supply of equipment will be secured). Furthermore, the project will help recipients to improve current outputs and their current position.
The goal of the project is to gain international recognition of technical competence of selected laboratories IMBiH within the CIPM MRA (Mutual Recognition Arrangement of national measurement standards and measurement certificates issued by national metrology institutes).
Conditions for achievement of these standards is to ensure that metrological laboratories are able to perform measurements with given parameters, adequate training of operators and implementation of international laboratory comparison must be included. Compilation and submission of the application will be then entirely in the hands of IMBiH.
