In the context of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the limitation of full-time teaching, the CzDA together with the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Kiev identified the need for Ukrainian medical universities to strengthen online teaching in 2021, or to strengthen the possibility of student practice without the need for direct contact with patients – i.e. by partially replacing practical exercises in an adequate way and minimizing the need to visit hospitals or other places with a higher potential risk of infection. All medical universities in Ukraine were uniformly approached with a request for possible specification of current needs, taking into account the above identified need. Material support in the form of the supply of fully professional anatomical tables, which will allow a very faithful knowledge of the anatomy of the human body, was recommended as the first to be implemented. This delivery is planned for Uzhhorod State University and Ivano-Frankivsk State Medical University. However, the implementation of the delivery had to be postponed until 2022 due to unforeseen downtimes. For 2022, it is expected that the support to the medical universities will continue within the available funding.5
