Hypothetically, how could the Air Force improve relations with a South American country? ?

aid to south america
tulugrl asked:

I’m beginning a project, and would like some ideas on how our Air Force could possibly improve relations with South America by providing some sort of aid for a specific country or city. Any suggestions would be appreciated, I’m just brain storming as of now.

They would not do that because that is not the job of the Air Force. That is a the job of politicians and the government (State Department) not the Air Force.

cordeliabrainiac- You really don’t know what you are talking about because Operation Provide Hope was a humanitarian operation conducted by the U.S. Navy to provide medical equipment to former Soviet republics during their transition to democratic and free-market states. It had nothing to do with the Air Force.
Operation Provide Comfort really did not focus on improving relations, it was more about providing assistance then anything else. Even so our relations with Iraq after Operation Provide Comfort did not improve, it only got worse till we finally invaded them again in 2003.

I can’t believe nobody mentioned the Three Minute Beat? AKA the Berlin Airlift.

Hello! Anybody home?? That’s only how the Air Force got started. It is still the largest humanitarian effort by any military, anywhere.

The former Air Force guy should know that, if he was really in. Lizzie, you made laugh,Thanks!
