Buddha13 asked: Why can we vote on “IMPORTANT” things like who wins American Idol, or which is the best restaurant in the state, or who the best looking actor/actress is.
But when it comes to how are taxes are spent, or how much aid to send to South America, or if we should penalyze companies that send jobs overseas - we have to leave that in the hands of people with “our best interests in mind…”?

Albert The Puerto Rican asked: Amount of US government aid in 2006: $23.53 Billion dollars. No nation came close. This was sent to Africa where it saved thousands of lives.
Amount of Private Sector Charity in 2006: $34.8 Billion dollars. No one comes close, UK comes in second with only $1.61 Billion. Again, this money is sent to poor nations, mostly Africa, and saves thouands of lives.
The U.S. funds 22% of the UN. This money goes to those UN peace keeping forces and humanitarian aid services.
The U.S. gave $360 million dollars in the tusnami of 2004 to south east asia. no nation came close…
America was the only nation to stand up for Israel and Georiga when both were attacked and invaded by enemy forces.
America alone was the largest factor in helping Europe rebuild after WW2 with its Marshall Plan-which gave $12,721 Million dollars to Europe. (Back then, that was a lot of money.).
America leads the world in medical technology and medicine. We share this with our allies and we also send some of it to Africa where it again saves lives.
America has liberated Belgium, France, Netherlands, Denmark, Italy, Tunsinia, Greneda, Lithuania, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Iraq, Phillipines, Solomon Islands, and South Korea… Britian helped, but we did most of the work…
Western Europe was liberated by the allies thanks to America. If not for America, Western Europe would’ve been liberated by the USSR. Remember what happened to those liberated by the Soviets? Warsaw Pact ring a bell? Yes they were forced into communism.
300,000 Americans died in WW2 to help our allies and liberate the pacific.
8,000 US troops protect Europe. Several thousands still guard South Korea.
More than 58,000 died trying to beat communism back in Vietnam.
So you decide… We have liberated the most and given the most. We have done bad, but we have done much more good. If you are European ask yourself “What has my country done, besides let evil dictators roam free and let America do all the work?”
Facts may hurt some of the people reading this, so do take caution.
Youtube is not a good source-i could make a video about anything and make up sources on that vid… BS is on youtube.

mumbasit2005 asked: American Government has been supporting economically, politically and many ways the countries having anti-democratic governments even dictatorships since long, for example, Saudi Arabia and Arab sheaiks countries, Iran when it was a Imerialist country of Shah Iran, the dictors of Cobodia, Chilli, Panama, Granada, Geotamala, Iraq when Sadam got a lot of American Aid, Talaban when they fought with USSR even though they believe on dictatorship and many countries of Asia, Africa and South America. Is it fare to support a dictator who killed millions of annocent peoples?

Skeptic asked: You don’t hear much in the US media about the following:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10767465/
Quote: Harry Belafonte accused U.S. news media of falsely painting Chavez as a “dictator,” when in fact, he said, there is democracy and citizens are “optimistic about their future.”
Washington’s War on Nicaragua by Holly Sklar (Paperback - May 1988)
Paraphrase: The World Court in the Hague found the U.S. guilty of war crimes in Nicaragua in November of 1984.
Noam Chomsky
Paraphrase: After US foreign aid begins in a country, the GNP increases, however, the rate of starvation also increases. That’s good for corporate investors and bad for many poor people within those countries.

Zoe asked: Members of a violent Hispanic street gang killed at least three people in south Nashville, shot several more and met often to plan more attacks on rival gangs, according to a federal indictment announced Wednesday.
Thirteen members of the MS-13 gang could face life sentences for the crimes, including a shooting at a Gallatin Pike nightclub and the gunning down of two teenagers on Nolensville Road
District of Tennessee, said the gang members also collected dues to support fellow gang members jailed throughout the United States and Latin America, said.
A monthslong investigation found that members of the small Nashville chapter of the MS-13, many of them in the country illegally, don’t seem to be involved in drugs or criminal acts beyond violence, Morford said.http://www.tennessean.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070111/NEWS03/701110384/1001

asked: “Rogue” is defined as: viciousness, lack of principle, and propensity to engage in unilateral action. Now a classical example is Iraq and America. Saddam Hussein displayed viciousness and lack of principle when he attacked and used chemical warfare against both Iran and Iraqi Kurds; and unilateralism in his assaults on Iran and Kuwait.
On the other hand the US used chemical warfare on a far greater scale against Vietnam, and its overall attack on Indochina was as vicious, and far more devastating than Iraq’s on its local victims. The U.S. aided Saddam Hussein during the 1980s and protected him from any international sanctions. The US found his alleged possession of “weapons of mass destruction” intolerable only after he stepped out of line and ceased to be of service to them. This is lack of principle. The US also acts unilaterally as it commonly ignores international consensus and international law when they stand in the way of its national interest (read oil interests).
I’ve checked postings by many pseudo moral torch bearers who always tell us that South African government supports terrorist states etc, just because they refuse to be foot soldiers of US and its sidekick, Britain. None of these delusional analysts have ever questioned the US actions. This is despite that the US is engaged in wholesale roguery. If Iraq was a terrorist state prior to US invasion, the countries that actively supported them when it started inflicting plain on others must at the least be classified as sponsors of terror. That bill fits the US perfectly, but our volunteer pseudo professors conveniently forget to bring this to the lecture room for the uneducated Zim..$ of this world.
I submit that these pseudo moralists, who are fond of telling us that we have a moral duty to tell people that they would be murdered, raped, robbed etc if they come to SA, are themselves terrorists or, at the least, active supporters of a state in whole roguery. They therefore have no right to cast stones.
Your views ……..and by the way, the usual parrots are welcome.
Finally, I got what I had been looking for. I have been pushing Alf to agree that he is a racist and that racism motivates his postings. I knew that despite his silent protestations, the truth would come out soon. I am glad that he has finally confirmed my submissions. Now to the next confession – what was your involvement with the security police during apartheid? For your information, I only want you to tell other people here, I know!
