Why does America ignore the plight of the African continent and help other Non black majority nations?

aid to south america
tt_hot_gyal asked:

The United States is helping Iraq rebuilding it etc.But what about the civil wars in Africa that have left orphans, doesnt the American Govt think it should help the starving people in Africa torn apart by Aids and War and help to cease the suffering of these people?Or is it since most African Nations are not Oil rich no one cares. For example in the 1980s there was apartheid in South Africa.America didnt do a thing but ,America is always eager to help Oil rich nations.Does this mean that black lives are worthless.Or is it that the past Presidents were racist.

It’s not just the USA. I don’t see the Europeans, Japan, HK and other rich countries running to Africa to help. It all depends of their foreign policies. But my take is if there is nothing to gain from the needy country then why should they go there. Very selfish.

Maybe you should ask the UN why they’re not doing anything…why should it only be the US?

they haven’t ignored it they are knee deep in it. Africa is divided up. The Dutch control the south and the diamond mines, the US the mid section and the oil fields of Nigeria, the English controls the east. They maintain control by creating discord on the continent of Africa. Just like Iraq while CNN is reporting on the civil war the US looting the oil fields.
