The aim of the Project is to improve the professional and practical skills of the population of northern Kosovo and to improve their access to the labor market and the orientation in the modern world. The Project will build a vast offer of educational activities for adults augmented by work experience in local businesses, organizations and institutions, i.e. with potential employers. Trainings will strive to improve success in life and will be offered to young people, especially in the non-formal education sector. Teachers and youth will gain access to modern teaching methods that are normally used in modern schools across the EU. These methods focus on the development of meta-cognitive skills, the development of 21st century skills that further in the text with a view to the local terminology we call life skills. These methods are fully in line with the ongoing reform of the educational system of Kosovo and the main documents accepted by the Kosovo government in the area of educational policy (Strategy 2011-2016). The methods will be presented in a form attractive for learners and the content will be based on local needs and experience.
In addition, the youth will try to identify and promote solutions to problems within their community by carrying out micro-projects. The Project will involve local NGOs, local and Czech experts, as well as local teachers, youth workers and representatives of local authorities and institutions, companies and entrepreneurs, journalists, and students and teachers from local Faculty of Pedagogy. The main target groups are long-term unemployed, preferably over 45, women, persons with disabilities, and youth between 13-18 years and the teachers and other youth workers.
