The purpose of Sustainable Towns and Municipalities for Development project is to promote and work together with the local authorities towards newly adopted New Agenda 2030 and thus increase the interest of Czech public about Sustainable Development Goals. The emphasis is given on the Goal No. 11: Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable. A tool for raising awareness about development cooperation are information seminars and meetings with local authorities, trainings and the Symposium of involvement in decentralized development cooperation. There will be detailed activity plan created together with partner towns, carrying out awareness-raising events and campaigns for the public. The project will create a comprehensive information model for local authorities and officials including studies, promotional tools and info materials. Project partner is The Union of Towns and Municipalities covering more than 2,500 cities and municipalities in the Czech Republic.
