The aim of the project is to enhance the quality and accessibility of primary health care services for members of the rural and pastoral communities in the Zavkhan province. Within the frame of the project, mobile medical units are established and equipped so that they can serve as a catchment examination and treatment rooms for members of the surrounding pastoral communities. Mobile medical units change their position during the year according to an agreed schedule. To achieve mobility, dispensaries are situated in yurts. They are equipped with basic medical instruments, enabling the implementation of diagnostic and therapeutic tasks within the service slightly exceeding the services provided by general practitioners for adults, children and adolescents.
